Transport Endorsement
Focus of Training…
The Transportation Endorsement course is focused to develop practical skill in patient handling techniques and patient securing procedures.
Includes extensive work with Stifneck collars, spine boards and basket stretchers.
Course Objectives…
-patient handling techniques with spinal precautions to initially move an injured worker.
-prepare patients for transport in the supine and lateral positions
Participants must hold a current
Occupational First Aid certificate
1 day Certification - 2 years
Quiz at end of session to confirm and reinforce knowledge
Level 2 Students
May want to consider taking a Transport Endorsement course to round out management skills for situations involving imminent danger where a patient must be moved quickly (eg. Earthquake, fire. etc.)
Ideal training for Emergency Response Teams as well.
