Oxygen Therapy for Divers

    
This qualification is ONLY offered in conjunction with 
     Level 1 Training


Level 1 Course Format…

    
This course includes a video presentation and many ‘hands on’ practical exercises. 

     All basic life support (including one operator CPR), are covered with additional emphasis and training on spinal injury management, minor wound care and record keeping and forms.

     A basic multiple choice quiz completes the Level 1 program.


Oxygen Therapy…

    
The student will focus on the benefits of oxygen administration and be able to recognize the indicators in the patient’s condition that would dictate when oxygen should be given.
     
     - basic principles of oxygen therapy
     - application of oxygen to the patient
     - beneficial effects of oxygen
     - safe handling practices


Dive Specific Emergencies… 

    
The student will understand the cause and effect of Dive Specific Emergencies and the need for adjunct oxygen intervention.

     A Quiz at the end of the Oxygen Therapy module will confirm and reinforce knowledge.

     The student must achieve 70% on the theory portion of the exam to pass.

     The practical application of skills will be 
     evaluated throughout the program by the Instructor.
