Adult CPR

 Learn how to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies.

CPR courses include…

- reducing the risk factors for heart disease

- recognizing the signals indicating cardiovascular emergencies

- accessing Emergency Medical Services System (EMS)

- airway management (conscious and unconscious choking situations)

- breathing assistance and non-breathing interventions

- responding with actions to effectively manage cardiovascular emergencies

4 Levels of Training to Choose from…

Level A – Heartsaver

Learn to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies that occur to people aged 8 and over…

-         adult skills

-         4 hours 

Level B – Heartsaver Plus

Learn to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies that occur to adults, children (1 – 8 years old), and infants (under 1 year old)

-         adult, child and infant

-         5 – 6  hours 

Level C – Basic Rescuer   *professional level

Includes all information covered in Level B plus 2 operator CPR.  The recognized level for health care professionals (nurses, lifeguards etc.)

-         6 – 8 hours   

Level D – Infant & Child

CPR skills focusing on emergencies involving infants and children only.

-         4 hours
